چکیده

This study describes the use of novel Cu/ZnO/ZnAl2O4/PAAH (PAAH=polyacrylic acid) hybrid nanomaterials for glycerol hydrogenolysis. Their elaboration by sol-gel process either in one step or two steps allowed to modulate their structural properties terms specific surface area, Lewis acidity, sizes and dispersion copper nanoparticles. The presence PAAH aluminium during synthesis particularly showed benefits metal-support interaction. characterization catalyst surfaces composition size nanoparticles establish structure-reactivity relationships. optimization reach remarkable conversions up 96 % with selectivity towards 1,2-propanediol 83 %. A recyclability also a possible reuse these catalysts after reactivation step.

Hydrogenolysis of Glycerol to 1,2-Propanediol and Ethylene Glycol over Ru-Co/ZrO2 Catalysts

A series of ZrO2 supported Ru-Co bimetallic catalysts were prepared and evaluated for the hydrogenolysis of glycerol. The Ru-Co/ZrO2 bimetallic catalyst combines the advantages of both Ru and Co, exhibiting high activity and good selectivity to 1,2-propanediol. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and TEM results show that higher calcination temperature leads to lower reducibility of cobalt oxides and l...

Modified Polyacrylic Acid-Zinc Composites: Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Activity.

Polyacrylic acid (PAA) is an important industrial chemical, which has been extensively applied in various fields, including for several biomedical purposes. In this study, we report the synthesis and modification of this polymer with various phenol imides, such as succinimide, phthalimide and 1,8-naphthalimide. The as-synthesized derivatives were used to prepare polymer metal composites by the ...

Ascorbic acid and copper in linoleate oxidation. II. Ascorbic acid and copper as oxidation catalysts.

Both ascorbic acid and copper were strong prooxidants in the oxidation of linoleate in a buffered (pH 7.0) aqueous dispersion at 37 degrees C. Minimum concentrations at which catalytic activity was detected were 1.3 x 10(-7) m for copper and 1.8 x 10(-6) m for ascorbic acid. For concentrations up to 10(-3) m, the increase in rate of oxidation with increase in concentration of catalyst was great...

Aqueous-Phase Hydrogenolysis of Glycerol over Re Promoted Ru Catalysts Encapuslated in Porous Silica Nanoparticles

Activity improvement of Ru-based catalysts is needed for efficient production of valuable chemicals from glycerol hydrogenolysis. In this work, a series of Re promoted Ru catalysts encapuslated in porous silica nanoparticles (denoted as Re-Ru@SiO₂) were prepared by coating silica onto the surface of chemically reduced Ru-polyvinylpyrrolidone colloids, and were used to catalyze the conversion of...
